The Williams of Wales tartan belongs to the series of modern Welsh family setts designed in the late 1990s by Sheila Daniel at the Cambrian Woollen Mill in Powys, with the Wales Tartan Centres.
Welsh tartan is a recent tradition rather than an inherited one, and these setts carry no medieval clan history; the words "of Wales" identify the design series. They give one of the great Welsh names a cloth of its own.
Williams Tartan Pattern and Colours
